Friday Funk: Startling Halloween Edition

pirate dogHappy Halloween everyone! This week’s edition of the Friday Funk is quite startling as we share with you a few of our favorite Halloween-flavored pics and links. It’s always fun to see the creativity that comes out in costumes every year. We’ve seen some doozies this year already! Of course all the political costumes and “Caribou Barbie’s” are quite hilarious, yet predictable as it’s a hot election this year. The old standards are always fun - my son’s going as a mummy this year and to make his costume authentic, he’s going to roll in the ash pit in the back yard after we wrap him up so he looks nice and dirty like he’s been laying in a tomb for 1000’s of years. I enjoyed the fairy tale themed costumes on the Today Show this morning, but was a little disappointed that their search feature just isn’t up to par on their site. They had a costume contest and the winner was a lady dressed up as a web and her baby was wrapped up and stuck onto the web. It was so cute, but unfortunately I couldn’t find a single link to it or mention of it on their site.

Of course, the animals dressed up like things email circulated a few times through the office, and we had a few favorites from the email appropriately titled “Why animals hate Halloween” (This is why they pee on the rug people) :

I saved the best for last. It’s not exactly Halloween related, but it does involve something dressed up as something else, which can sometimes be the most hilarious thing you’ve ever seen. If you’re a South Park fan, then you probably saw the episode this last week where the Guinea Creatures attacked the town. If you missed that episode, here are a couple of the best clips below. There’s nothing funnier than a cute furry animal dressed up as something else, and then made to look as if it’s giant and attacking a town. If I could find a guinea pig costume and then a pirate costume to go over the guinea pig costume, then I would totally be a Guinea Pirate this year.

Here’s a couple of my favorite clips from the South Park Episode, Pandemic 2: The Startling - the Guinea Bees and Guinea Saurus Rex.
