What We Use

  • "Cookies"
    We use cookies to store information about your activities on our web site. We use this information to anonymously track your visit to our site. Even if you elect to give us personal information, that information will never appear in the cookies. We use both session cookies and persistent cookies.

    You can disable cookies (consult support information from your browser's publisher). If you disable cookies, your visit to our site will not be significantly effected though, from time to time, we may provide special features that require the use of cookies.

  • JavaScript
    We use JavaScript to enhance our web site and to assist in the tracking of anonymous data.

    If you disable JavaScript, many of the features on our web site will not work.

  • Web Beacons (Clear Gifs)
    We may use "Web Beacons" together with cookies to track your activities on our web site. Generally, Web Beacons allow third party agents (tracking technology providers) to track web site activity on behalf of their customers. We use our own tracking technology, Insite Metrics. Our "Web Beacons" are designed to provide no tracking information in cases where a visitor's cookies are disabled. Our use of Web Beacons conforms to or exceeds the Network Advertising Initiative's Web Beacon Guidelines.

  • Web Server Log Files
    We use web server log files to gather summary information about activities on our web sites. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser types, internet service provider (ISP), referring documents, and operating system. We analyze this information to extract trends such as popular search engines and search terms and popular referrers . We also use this information to maintain the successful operation of our web servers. We do not use web server log files to track either anonymous or identifiable users.

  • ActiveX and Java Applets
    We do not use ActiveX or Java Applets at this time.

Where We Collect Information
We use the methods as described and qualified above on our web sites. We may also use some of the methods in HTML based email to support and to gauge the effectiveness of our communications, marketing and sales efforts.

You can prevent us from tracking your activity on our web site by disabling cookies. You can "opt out" of our email information, marketing and sales programs by using the "Opt-Out" link in the email, by using our privacy form.

Children's Privacy
We believe that protecting the privacy of children is very important. Our web sites are not designed to attract individuals under the age of 18. In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not collect or store any personal information, even in aggregate, about children under the age of 13. If we discover we have received any information from a child under the age of 13 in violation of this policy, we will delete that information immediately. We follow industry standards and practices to safeguard all of the information, both anonymous and personal, that we collect. Upright Communications will provide access to personal information about you only to those of our employees who need that information to do business with you.

Correcting/Updating/Deleting/Deactivating Personal Information
If your personally identifiable information (such as zip code, phone, email or postal address) changes or, if you no longer desire our service, you can have your information modified or deleted by using our privacy form.

Business Transitions
If Upright Communications goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of a portion of its assets, your personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. You will be notified via prominent notice on our web site for 30 days prior to a change of ownership or control of your personal information. If, as a result of the business transition, your personally identifiable information will be used in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection, you will be given choice consistent with the one outlined in "Revisions to this policy" (below).

Revisions to This Policy
Upright Communications reserves the right to periodically revise this policy. Please check this page periodically for changes. The document revision date displayed below will indicate when this policy was last revised. If we are planning to use your personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection, we will notify you via email. You will have a choice as to whether or not you allow us to continue to use and maintain your information under our new policy. Of course, if you have opted out of all communication with us or deleted/deactivated your account, you will not be contacted and your personal information will not be used or maintained under the new policy.

Changes to our privacy policy that do not affect user information already stored in our database will be posted prominently on our web site.
